Shark Database update to Red List data v. 2023-1
The latest update of the IUCN Red List has been integrated into the Shark Database. It contains 545 shark species. Five species more than in Version 2022-2.
Compared to version 2022-2, there were no major changes. The update contains 1 possibly extinct species, 219 endangered species of sharks and for 73 species there is insufficient data (Data Deficient) available for an assessment.
